Thu, 22nd Feb 2024

Kyndryl, the world's largest technology infrastructure services provider, has joined forces with Veeam Software, the market leader in data replication and protection software, announcing a global strategic alliance to deliver comprehensive cyber resiliency services.

The partnership centres around enhancing cyber resilience for businesses, offering expert infrastructure management and incident recovery services. As part of the alliance, Kyndryl becomes a Veeam Accredited Service Partner (VASP), enabling the company to integrate its professional services and technical implementation with Veeam's solutions.

Through this alliance, customers will have a range of service options at their disposal. These include comprehensive cyber resilience, which employs an integrated approach to fortify stakeholder confidence by providing strategies to effectively recover from adverse conditions, including cyber incidents, human error, and hardware failures. Customers can also benefit from simplified vendor transitions to a modern, secure, compliance-rich, and scalable cloud-based infrastructure.

The Veeam-Kyndryl alliance offers modern data protection solutions to support customers in modernising and guarding data across their enterprise. This approach focusses on incorporating robust defence mechanisms for contemporary SaaS applications, data and systems, through a unified platform. In addition, the partnership aims to enhance operational efficiencies by deploying integrated automation, rendering businesses more agile and adaptable.

Combining Kyndryl's expertise in managed security services and infrastructure management, this alliance allows customers to experience comprehensive data protection and ransomware recovery, optimised costs, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Moreover, it advocates seamless data mobility and advanced security capabilities across both cloud-native and Kubernetes environments.

"We are focused on ensuring organisations are equipped to bounce forward when the worst happens. Whether it's a cyber-attack, an outage or a natural disaster we provide customers peace of mind that their data is safe and can be rapidly recovered to keep their business running," stated John Jester, CRO at Veeam. "We're excited to bring our technology together with the scale and expertise of Kyndryl to bring the benefits of Veeam technology to customers around the world," he added.

Christophe Bertrand, Practice Director at Enterprise Strategy Group, recognised the value of the new alliance, stating: "The market is in dire need of advanced cyber resilience globally, which is why the expanded partnership between Veeam and Kyndryl comes at a critical time. The robust offerings that these long-time partners have devised are laser-focused on core customer and market needs. We anticipate that these offerings will be well received at a time when enterprises are grappling with IT complexity and cybercrime."

"With the ever-growing threat from cyber risks, maintaining cyber resiliency is a top priority for our customers," commented Debbie Nevin, Vice President of Global Alliances at Kyndryl. "Our partnership with Veeam enables us to support our customers' business continuity posture and ability to recover from increasingly more sophisticated cyber incidents."
