FPT named OpenAI Select Partner for enterprise AI push

FPT has been named an OpenAI Select Partner, placing the Vietnamese technology group within the OpenAI Partner Network.

The partnership brings FPT closer to OpenAI's programme for companies that build, sell and deliver artificial intelligence products for enterprise customers.

The new status is expected to support FPT's work with organisations seeking to build, deploy and scale AI systems across business operations. Its focus includes helping customers use OpenAI models and products in ways that improve output and fit existing corporate systems.

Cybersecurity is an early area of emphasis. FPT plans to integrate GPT-5.6 Sol and Codex Security into its cybersecurity platforms and intelligent workflows, including its Patch the Enterprise programme.

This work is part of a broader strategy to expand the use of OpenAI technology across FPT's software and services portfolio. The company intends to add OpenAI tools to its FleziPT ecosystem, develop agentic AI products for enterprise workflows, expand AI infrastructure and enablement programmes, and redesign operations around human and AI collaboration.

FPT is one of Vietnam's largest technology companies and has built a growing international presence, with operations in more than 30 countries and territories. In 2025, it reported revenue of USD $2.66 billion and said it employed more than 54,000 people across its businesses.

AI framework

FPT's AI strategy is organised around a framework called CASAN, which it describes as a model for guiding companies from early testing of AI tools to broader operational use.

CASAN is structured around five levels of AI maturity: Curious, Augmented, Standard, Automatic and Native. The framework is designed to help customers assess readiness, improve governance and move from isolated pilots to broader deployment across core functions.

FPT has also invested in supporting infrastructure. Its AI ecosystem includes FleziPT, AI Factories in Vietnam and Japan, and more than 30,000 AI-augmented engineers.

According to FPT, those resources have led to measurable changes in software delivery, including development times up to 60% shorter, more than 50% less rework and a 30% increase in developer productivity.

The OpenAI Partner Network brings together service providers and technology groups with industry relationships and implementation experience. Its members are intended to help enterprise customers adopt OpenAI models and products in commercial settings.

For FPT, the Select Partner designation adds to a series of alliances with major AI providers as it seeks to deepen its role in enterprise technology services. The company has increasingly presented itself as an AI-first business, with a particular focus on embedding AI tools in software development, security and workflow automation.

Pham Minh Tuan outlined the company's plans for the partnership.

He also highlighted cybersecurity as a key area for deployment.
