Hexnode XDR launch unites endpoint security & UEM
Hexnode has launched Hexnode XDR, an extended detection and response product that expands the company's business from endpoint management into endpoint security.
The product combines detection, investigation and response in a single console. It sits alongside Hexnode's endpoint management offering and reflects a wider industry move that brings IT operations and security operations closer together.
Hexnode positioned the launch against a backdrop of increasing cyber threats affecting Indian organisations, citing research that more than 265 million cyberattack attempts were recorded in India. Security teams face pressure as organisations scale across cloud platforms and a wider range of endpoints.
Hexnode operates as the enterprise software division of Mitsogo, selling endpoint management software under the Hexnode UEM brand.
"You can't expect an enterprise to stay resilient if IT and security aren't aligned. That separation has been a long-standing weak spot. Hexnode XDR bridges the divide by unifying endpoint data, deeper context, and powerful response tools. The result? IT teams can finally anticipate threats and act with certainty," said Apu Pavithran, CEO and Founder, Hexnode.
Hexnode XDR presents endpoints, alerts and vulnerabilities in a single view. The product uses a dashboard that groups information for administrators who manage endpoints and investigate security incidents.
"Unified Incident Visibility" is listed as a core feature. The console provides a real-time overview of threats, alerts and vulnerable devices.
Hexnode also highlighted automated correlation, collecting and analysing signals across endpoints, using severity levels, device impact and threat lifecycle logs as part of the workflow. Alerts include device and policy insights to support response decisions. One-click remediation actions allow administrators to kill processes, quarantine or delete files, and isolate devices. For audit and reporting needs, the product includes searchable and exportable logs of threats, actions and system events.
Hexnode XDR integrates with Hexnode UEM, creating a single environment for endpoint management and security. The integration extends protection from existing unified endpoint management environments with minimal configuration, allowing administrators to manage devices, monitor threats and enforce policies from one interface. XDR insights flow into Hexnode UEM and follow similar workflows and design principles as the endpoint management tool.
Hexnode plans broader endpoint coverage, including macOS, Linux and mobile devices alongside Windows. It also intends third-party UEM integration, allowing organisations to use Hexnode XDR with external unified endpoint management products.
Additional planned features include:
-
Actionable Security Prompts: Suggest security actions and offer one-click setup through pre-filled UEM policies, tracking the impact to refine recommendations.
-
Hexnode Genie AI support: An intelligence layer for guided troubleshooting and chat-based administrator queries.
-
Intelligent Threat Response: Automates threat remediation and technician assignment.
-
Application vulnerability insights: Provides visibility into system and user-installed applications with alerts on risky software.
