BlackFog and Carahsoft Technology have formed a partnership to provide AI-based ransomware protection to government agencies in the public sector.

Under the terms of the partnership, Carahsoft will now act as BlackFog's Master Government Aggregator, allowing the distribution of BlackFog's ransomware prevention solution through Carahsoft's reseller partners along with several governmental procurement channels.

These include NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 (ITES-SW2), The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint, OMNIA Partners, E&I Cooperative Services Contract, and The Quilt contracts.

Dr. Darren Williams, Founder and CEO at BlackFog, emphasised the importance of the partnership in combating cyber threats: "As the Public Sector is a common target for cyberattacks, partnering with Carahsoft is a huge step in protecting Government and Educational sectors from these threats.

"Through this partnership we can widen our reach by leveraging Carahsoft's extensive reseller network and expertise in the Public Sector," Willliams said.

"We look forward to collaborating and creating new opportunities as we introduce our Anti Data Exfiltration (ADX) solution to safeguard the Government sectors sensitive data and infrastructure," he said.

BlackFog's Anti Data Exfiltration (ADX) provides a cybersecurity solution aimed at countering a variety of cyber threats targeting governmental and educational bodies. According to the company, the solution offers real-time cybersecurity protection by employing artificial intelligence to analyse network behaviour, guarding against fileless attacks, zero-day vulnerabilities, and insider threats that traditional methods may not manage to stop. The initiative ensures constant monitoring and protection of user infrastructure, aiming to mitigate cyber threats before they materialise.

Brian O'Donnell, Vice President of Cybersecurity Solutions at Carahsoft, highlighted the addition of BlackFog's technology to their offerings: "With the inclusion of BlackFog in our portfolio, we are now able to provide Government organisations with advanced technologies to safeguard their data and protect their infrastructure," he said.

"BlackFog's innovative ransomware protection goes beyond the perimeter defense, leveraging modern technology to intercept attacks before any damages occurs," O'Donnell said.

"Carahsoft and our reseller partners are committed to equipping the Public Sector with the essential tools needed to stay resilient in today's rapidly evolving technological landscape," he said.

According to a statement released by both companies, the availability of BlackFog's solutions through Carahsoft's contracts is intended to facilitate ease of access for government entities seeking advanced cybersecurity solutions, covering diverse procurement avenues such as SEWP V and ITES-SW2 contracts, among others.
