Trend Micro & AWS partner for largest cybersecurity roadshow in 2024
Mon, 19th Feb 2024

Trend Micro, the cybersecurity organisation, is preparing to host what has been announced as the world's largest cybersecurity roadshow - The 2024 Risk to Resilience World Tour - in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The tour will visit seven key cities across Australia and New Zealand.

With an increasing number of companies worldwide seeking to harness the power of AI and cloud technology while mitigating risks across an ever-expanding attack surface, The World Tour will assemble experts from around the globe. The objective is to deliberate on the future of digital defence, prioritising strategies for AI-driven security across all platforms and endpoints.

Trend Micro today announced that registrations for the cybersecurity roadshow, which is set to return in 2024, will soon be open. This grand event, conducted in collaboration with long-time partner AWS, will be held in the following cities on the corresponding dates: Brisbane on 14 May, Sydney on 16 May, Perth on 21 May, Melbourne on 23 May, Canberra on 30 May, Auckland on 06 June, and Wellington on 05 June.

Expected to attract worldwide experts, The World Tour will offer insights into new and emerging technologies and innovations that help expedite cyber risk management methods. The intention is to enable organisations to make informed decisions, accelerate security operations, and experience a more resilient future. This initiative comes at a crucial time as organisations globally are penning their strategies to drive AI- and cloud-powered innovation whilst mitigating an expanding attack surface.

Trend and AWS are committed to fostering an innovative environment that provides streamlined and seamless security solutions across all settings. This collaboration offers an unparalleled opportunity to co-innovate side by side, ensuring the best security practices and solutions are delivered to mutual customers. This will prepare them for the unique challenges presented by cloud security.

Threat actors are increasing their attacks on distributed and dynamic cloud environments, capitalising on enterprise cybersecurity skills shortages and burgeoning IT complexity. A robust security posture now requires an understanding of risk across systems and applications. Yet only 9% of businesses actively monitor for this. To address this neglected industry challenge, Attack Surface Risk Management, the latest function in Trend Vision One, will form the crux of multiple sessions on the tour.

After the unprecedented success of the inaugural World Tour in 2023, Trend's 2024 Risk to Resilience program will visit 100 cities globally. This year's roadshow is supported by Trend's recently announced multi-year partnership with NEOM McLaren - connecting two innovation-focused brands dedicated to securing complex, dynamic environments.

Srujan Talakokkula, Managing Director, ANZ Commercial Business at Trend, stressed the importance of attack surface risk management. "World Tour attendees in 2024 will access product demos, customer interviews, expert keynotes and peer-to-peer networking opportunities to uncover the latest insights and strategies to boost business resilience. We plan to accelerate innovation in the race against cyber threats together with the NEOM McLaren team."
