Dragos & Yokogawa partner to enhance industrial security
Dragos has announced a global partnership with Yokogawa Electric Corporation to improve cybersecurity for industrial environments.
This collaboration aims to address the increasing necessity for security teams to have comprehensive insights across Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) networks amid ongoing digital transformations in industrial settings.
Robert M. Lee, CEO and Co-founder of Dragos, stated, "This partnership with Yokogawa marks a significant milestone in our mission to secure industrial environments worldwide."
"By combining Dragos's industry-leading OT cybersecurity Platform with Yokogawa's extensive expertise in industrial automation, we're providing organizations with unparalleled visibility and protection for their critical infrastructure. This collaboration enables us to deliver comprehensive OT-native network visibility and monitoring, ensuring that our joint customers can confidently navigate their digital transformation journey while maintaining the highest levels of operational safety and reliability."
The Dragos OT Cybersecurity Platform focuses on reducing cyber risks in industrial settings. Its functionalities include identifying assets and vulnerabilities, detecting cyber threats to industrial systems, and supporting efficient responses through forensic investigations and OT-specific playbooks.
Customers utilizing the Dragos Platform alongside Yokogawa's CENTUM VP distributed control system (DCS) will experience several advantages, including validated integration, enhanced environmental visibility, and advanced threat detection and response. This integration facilitates comprehensive visibility in the CENTUM VP environment, enabling industrial organizations to effectively monitor assets, address vulnerabilities, and employ traffic monitoring data for incident investigations.
Dragos will deliver weekly content packs filled with codified threat detections, response playbooks, and vulnerability guidance specifically tailored for OT systems by the Dragos Threat Intelligence team. These packs equip organizations with updated defenses for their Industrial Control Systems (ICS) networks, enhancing their cybersecurity posture with CENTUM DCS-specific and other vendors' hardware information.
Additional capabilities of the Dragos Platform include CENTUM VP-specific features, such as protocol dissectors, asset characterizations, threat behaviour analytics, and investigative playbooks, enhancing Yokogawa's cybersecurity assessment capabilities further.
Joint customers will also have access to a range of global OT cybersecurity services via Yokogawa's worldwide service network, addressing the specific needs of processing and manufacturing industries. This partnership combines Dragos and Yokogawa's expertise and provides educational resources, including whitepapers and webinars, assisting cybersecurity professionals in industrial settings.
Katsunori Iijima, General Manager of Cybersecurity Management at Yokogawa, commented, "At Yokogawa, we recognize the critical importance of cybersecurity in today's rapidly evolving industrial landscape."
"Our partnership with Dragos allows us to offer our customers a best-in-class OT security solution that seamlessly integrates with our CENTUM VP platform. This collaboration enhances our ability to provide comprehensive cybersecurity services on a global scale, ensuring that our customers can focus on their core operations while we safeguard their critical assets.
