CrowdStrike brings Falcon to Google Cloud & Snowflake

CrowdStrike has made its Falcon platform available on Google Cloud and through Snowflake Marketplace, extending the cybersecurity company's reach across cloud infrastructure and enterprise data services.

Under the Google Cloud agreement, Falcon now runs on Google Cloud infrastructure, starting with regional infrastructure in the US. The setup is intended to give customers more choice over where they deploy the platform while addressing data sovereignty and localisation requirements.

Under the Snowflake agreement, Falcon will be listed on Snowflake Marketplace. Snowflake customers will be able to apply pre-committed capacity to Falcon through the Marketplace Capacity Drawdown programme, linking cybersecurity spending to existing cloud data commitments.

The announcements show how security vendors are trying to embed their products more deeply into the cloud and data environments large companies already use. They also reflect demand for fewer disconnected tools across infrastructure, security operations and data analysis.

Google Cloud

Falcon on Google Cloud is initially available in the US, with expansion to other Google Cloud regions planned later. In-region processing is aimed at customers that need data to remain within particular jurisdictions.

CrowdStrike presents the move as part of a broader multi-cloud strategy as businesses spread workloads across several providers. In that setting, security teams often face fragmented systems for endpoints, identity, cloud assets and data, creating operational overhead and gaps in visibility.

Falcon is marketed as a single platform covering AI agents, endpoints, identities, cloud and data through one sensor, one console and one data layer. By running on Google Cloud infrastructure, CrowdStrike aims to make that model available to customers that want more of their security stack aligned with a chosen hyperscale cloud provider.

"Every enterprise has become a multi-cloud organisation," said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer, CrowdStrike.

"By bringing Falcon to Google Cloud, we're giving customers greater choice on where they run their business, making it easier than ever before to consolidate cybersecurity on the platform they trust to stop breaches," Bernard said.

Google Cloud framed the partnership around data sovereignty and AI workloads, both of which have become central concerns for regulated industries and multinational groups. As cloud usage expands, companies handling sensitive operational or customer information have sought more control over where data is processed.

"Utilising Google Cloud's secure infrastructure, CrowdStrike can power unified protection capabilities that reduce operational complexity and help organisations protect their critical data and AI workloads with confidence."

Snowflake Link

The Snowflake tie-up centres on procurement as well as data integration. By making Falcon available through Snowflake Marketplace, CrowdStrike is tapping a route that lets joint customers use existing Snowflake spending commitments rather than negotiate a separate purchasing path.

That may appeal to finance and procurement teams looking to simplify software buying, especially as security budgets face greater scrutiny. For CrowdStrike, the arrangement opens another channel into enterprise accounts that already standardise on Snowflake for data storage, analysis and sharing.

The companies also outlined several technical links between Falcon and Snowflake data. Federated search is intended to let analysts query Snowflake data directly from Falcon investigations, while Falcon Next-Gen SIEM will correlate Snowflake data with security telemetry. CrowdStrike also said Falcon Onum will route security telemetry to Snowflake as well as other destinations.

The combination is intended to give security teams more context without having to move large datasets between systems. That matters because modern investigations increasingly depend on business, application and operational data that sits outside traditional security tools.

"Our collaboration with Snowflake will make Falcon easier to buy and deploy while giving customers more choice in how and where they operationalise their security data. That's how we reduce complexity, accelerate security outcomes, and stop threats faster."

Snowflake described the partnership as a way to bring broader enterprise context into security operations. "Enterprises already bring their most critical data to Snowflake, and that broader enterprise context is what makes security decisions better," said Mayank Upadhyay, Chief Security and Trust Officer, Snowflake. "Our collaboration with CrowdStrike will let security teams build stronger detections and run more complete investigations against data they already trust, without moving it."

The two deals underline how cybersecurity suppliers are seeking tighter links with the platforms where enterprise data and computing workloads already sit. Rather than selling standalone tools alone, vendors are increasingly trying to place security controls inside major cloud and data ecosystems used across large organisations.

For CrowdStrike, that means pursuing infrastructure alignment with Google Cloud as well as commercial and data integration with Snowflake. Together, the moves give the company another route into customers that want to keep security operations closer to their existing cloud estates and data environments.
