AAA Technologies pivots to AI-led cybersecurity services
Mon, 26th Oct 2026 (Today)
AAA Technologies is repositioning itself as an AI-led cybersecurity company following a change in ownership and management at the Mumbai-based firm.
It is adding four AI-based services, plans to expand its professional workforce from about 100 to 1,000, and aims to broaden its work beyond cybersecurity audits into remediation and continuous monitoring.
The new services include AI-driven cybersecurity audits, forensic audits including deepfake analysis, compliance work tied to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and an annual AI-led cyber assurance programme combining continuous monitoring with periodic human review.
AAA has operated for more than 25 years and says it has completed more than 12,700 assignments. It describes itself as the first information security business listed on India's NSE and BSE exchanges.
The repositioning comes as Indian companies face higher breach costs and tighter regulation. IBM's 2026 Cost of a Data Breach Report put the average cost of a breach in India at ₹25.5 crore, up 15.9% from a year earlier, while 26% of malicious breaches in the country were AI-generated.
IBM also found that 68% of Indian organisations used AI and security automation only minimally or not at all. Meanwhile, India's DPDP rules require full compliance by 13 May 2027, with penalties of up to ₹250 crore for failing to maintain reasonable security safeguards.
Ownership change
The move follows a transaction that changed control of the business. Under a share purchase agreement, Jyotirgamya Advisory and Ashok Kumar Chordia acquired 34.38% of the company from its founding promoters, followed by an open offer to public shareholders at ₹101 per share.
The founding promoters have exited the business, and Venugopal Dhoot has stepped down as Chairman and Managing Director. The ownership and management change was completed in August.
Santosh Kumar Pandey, Whole-time Director, AAA Technologies, outlined the company's new focus.
"Every audit we have ever done ends with a list of gaps. Clients do not want a list; they want the gaps closed. AAA will find the risk, fix it, and keep watching it, and AI is what lets us do that at scale. We are 100 professionals today, and we intend to be 1,000. Attackers are already using AI, and the DPDP deadline is fixed; organisations cannot meet either with a once-a-year manual audit. They need a partner that can assess, remediate and evidence compliance continuously," Pandey said.
Market pressure
The company is making the shift as India's cybersecurity market expands. MarketsandMarkets estimated the market at USD $8.58 billion in 2025 and projected it would reach USD $16.86 billion by 2030.
AAA says it employs more than 100 internationally certified professionals and carries out all engagements in-house. It holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 20000-1:2018 certifications and is appraised at CMMI Level 3.
The company has been empanelled with CERT-In since 2005. It was also empanelled in 2026 by NICSI through 2029 and by State Bank of India as an Information System Audit Organisation through March 2029.
Ashok Kumar Chordia, Director and Promoter, AAA Technologies, said the company intended to build on its standing with regulated and public sector clients.
"AAA has 25+ years of credibility with regulators, banks and government. Our investment is in extending that franchise into AI-led remediation and assurance, where client demand and regulatory pressure are both rising. We will build the team and capabilities to match," Chordia said.
