SentinelOne brings AI-powered security to SMBs via Pax8 launch

Thu, 4th Sep 2025

SentinelOne has launched its Managed AI Defence solution in the Pax8 cloud marketplace, making its AI-powered cybersecurity offering accessible to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) via managed service providers (MSPs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs).

Access for SMBs

The introduction of Managed AI Defence allows SMBs to access cybersecurity capabilities that were previously available primarily to large enterprises. The solution includes endpoint detection and response (EDR), the Purple AI security analyst, managed threat hunting, and vulnerability management, all integrated into one package that aims to be straightforward for MSPs and MSSPs to manage.

Historically, SMBs have been at a disadvantage when it comes to cybersecurity, lacking the resources and expertise often found in larger organisations. According to SentinelOne, Managed AI Defence aims to address this disparity, levelling the playing field between organisations of all sizes.

Pricing and deployment

Managed AI Defence is offered with per-endpoint pricing as a single product code (SKU). This approach is intended to streamline licensing for partners, simplify billing for end customers, and facilitate deployment. Additional optional features, such as managed detection and response (MDR), remote forensics, and identity threat detection and response (ITDR), can be added, enabling customisation according to specific customer needs.

SentinelOne states that this all-in-one suite provides threat prevention, detection, and response tailored to SMBs. Tracy Ryan, Associate Vice President, Global MSSP/MSP at SentinelOne, commented on the launch:

"Attackers don't discriminate by company size and neither should world-class security. This launch means that every business, no matter how big or small, can harness the power of AI to protect what matters most. Together with Pax8, we're helping MSPs and MSSPs deliver real security outcomes for SMBs who deserve the same peace of mind as the enterprise giants."

Partnership approach

The bundled offering is initially available through the Pax8 marketplace, which is used by MSPs and MSSPs to deliver cloud services to their clients worldwide. Pax8 and SentinelOne are positioning the Managed AI Defence solution as a means for their partners to differentiate themselves in the market by offering enterprise-grade security with simplified deployment and management.

Oguo Atuanya, Corporate Vice President of Vendor Experience at Pax8, described the collaborative nature of the launch, stating:

"Pax8 and SentinelOne share a mission to empower MSPs with solutions that deliver real security outcomes. SMBs deserve the same level of protection trusted by Fortune 500 companies, and now our partners can provide exactly that - with minimal complexity, and more opportunities to grow their businesses."

Market expansion

While Managed AI Defence launches with Pax8 initially, there are plans to extend availability to other aggregators and Master MSPs in future. SentinelOne has clarified that the product is designed for smooth adoption and scalable roll-out, featuring a simplified deployment process, straightforward billing, and support for gradual onboarding. Partners will be able to add optional services as needed for each client.

Existing Pax8 customers will not face any changes to their current deployments, ensuring continuity as the new Managed AI Defence programme is introduced.
