Noname Security announces new executive appointments for 2024 growth phase
Noname Security, the company behind an all-encompassing API security platform, has announced the addition of three executives to its established leadership team in anticipation of an ambitious phase of growth and innovation for 2024.
The new appointments include Yossi Dagan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Einat Idan as Chief of Staff, and Arie Sholomon as Vice President of Research and Development (R&D). Dagan will guide the company's expansion strategy to strengthen its international presence, while Idan will manage cross-organisational operational activities. Sholomon will lead research and development initiatives, bolstering Noname Security's efforts in advancing API security innovation and competition. All three will report directly to the CEO and co-founder, Oz Golan.
Confirming the appointments, Golan states, "Today signifies a pivotal milestone for Noname Security as we elevate our focus on strategic business investments, propelling our business growth to align with the dynamic shifts in the business landscape and the escalating demands for innovative API security solutions." He further expressed confidence in the new appointees, saying, "With decades of combined experience and a shared commitment to advancing Noname's success, we take immense pride in welcoming Yossi, Einat, and Arie to our expanding team."
Dagan brings more than 20 years of experience as a finance executive to his new role, holding CFO positions at renowned companies like Pomvom, Matricelf, and Top Image Systems, including a senior financial management role at Imperva. Meanwhile, Idan injects an extensive two-decade career into her role, having successfully steered client-driven businesses towards profitability, streamlined operational processes, and fostered customer success in previous roles at Commvault and RSA Security, amongst others.
Sholomon also possesses a rich career in research and development. His resume includes a stint as the VP of R&D at Deep Instinct, and a role as the Principal Data Scientist at Pagaya. He specialises in creating advanced technologies that secure, automate, and digitise processes across various sectors, making him an excellent match for Noname's vision.
The imperative nature of these appointments becomes evident upon considering the increasing security threats afflicting organisations globally. A recent report disclosed that 78% of organisations experienced an API security incident in the past year. Noname Security responded to these escalating challenges by initiating significant enhancements to its API Security Platform, introducing the industry's first API security platform for the U.S. federal government and highly controlled industries, and updating its Active Testing solution.
Along with the new appointments, the company also announced the promotions of Michele Shear to VP of Channel Sales and Aner Morag to VP of Product and Technology. Noname is also set to strengthen its alliances with IT powerhouses like IBM, Intel, and Wiz.
Noname Security anticipates that these strategic appointments, promotions, and collaborations will bolster its position as a leader in API security as the sector sees a sustained increase in demand.
