netnumber & Kudosity strike APAC messaging partnership

netnumber has formed a strategic partnership with Kudosity to support enterprise messaging across multiple APAC markets.
The partnership combines netnumber's phone number intelligence with Kudosity's messaging orchestration and enterprise distribution. It will focus on routing, identity, and fraud mitigation in business communications.
Kudosity is an Australian messaging technology provider operating across several countries in the Asia-Pacific region. netnumber specialises in phone number intelligence, providing data and services used by enterprises, communications providers, and technology companies.
Routing focus
A central part of the agreement is the use of phone number intelligence to improve routing decisions. Better phone number data can help businesses assess reachability, route messages more effectively, and identify potential risks linked to a number.
This matters for messaging providers because routing choices affect both delivery quality and cost. The partnership is intended to help Kudosity improve routing economics and delivery outcomes across its existing footprint, while also creating new services for enterprise customers.
The scope of the agreement includes intelligent routing, delivery optimisation, identity and verification, fraud mitigation, and enterprise intelligence services. It also gives Kudosity access to netnumber's global phone number intelligence as it expands into additional markets.
Broader use
The agreement reflects a wider shift in how businesses use phone numbers. Rather than serving only as endpoints for calls and messages, phone numbers are increasingly used in customer onboarding, account authentication, transaction workflows, and fraud checks.
As a result, enterprises are placing greater emphasis on the quality of the data behind a number and the trust signals attached to it. Messaging is also becoming part of a broader customer journey in which communications, identity, and fraud controls are more closely linked.
For Kudosity, that creates an opportunity to offer services beyond message delivery. For netnumber, it extends the use of its data and trust tools into enterprise messaging workflows that already reach customers across several channels.
Steve Legge, Chief Executive Officer, netnumber, said the partnership fits the company's wider strategy.
"Phone numbers sit at the intersection of communications, identity and trust," said Steve Legge, Chief Executive Officer, netnumber.
"Our partnership with Kudosity is a natural extension of netnumber's mission to make phone number intelligence actionable across the communications ecosystem. Kudosity has built a strong messaging and enterprise customer proposition, and together we can bring intelligence into that experience to improve routing, strengthen identity, and help organisations address fraud."
Expansion plans
The deal also gives Kudosity a larger international base for growth. Cross-border communications can be difficult to manage because numbering plans, carrier arrangements, routing environments, and number characteristics differ from one market to another.
netnumber said its global intelligence infrastructure provides a common layer to support those differences across markets. That could help Kudosity extend services beyond its current regional presence while keeping routing and verification tools aligned across countries.
Alex Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer, Kudosity, said customers are asking for a broader set of tools around messaging.
"Customers are asking for more than messaging," said Alex Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer, Kudosity. "They want communications that are more reliable, intelligent, and secure. Our partnership with netnumber gives us access to global phone number intelligence that we can use to expand our enterprise proposition, improve routing and delivery in our core markets, and develop new capabilities around identity and fraud mitigation."
The two companies described the arrangement as a complementary model in which netnumber supplies intelligence, identity, routing, and trust, while Kudosity provides orchestration, messaging channels, customer experience, and enterprise distribution. The immediate focus is on using phone number data more directly in enterprise communications systems, where delivery, identity checks, and fraud risk are increasingly handled together.
