LRN unveils Catalyst Phishing to reinforce cyber risk training
LRN has launched Catalyst Phishing, a new phishing simulation and training solution aimed at assisting organisations in mitigating human cyber risk and reinforcing their security culture.
Focus on behaviour
The Catalyst Phishing tool is incorporated into the Catalyst platform and is tailored to help security and compliance teams move beyond basic awareness training. By using behaviour-based learning, the platform delivers realistic phishing simulations and just-in-time microlearning to staff who are targeted by these simulations, using an extensive, regularly updated template library that mirrors current cyberattack strategies.
"Phishing remains one of the biggest cybersecurity risks for organisations, and attackers are getting smarter with targeted, multi-channel, AI-powered campaigns. Catalyst Phishing moves organisations beyond 'check-the-box' training by pairing realistic simulations with personalised learning, enabling teams to build resilience and foster a stronger security culture," said Parijat Jauhari, Chief Product and Technology Officer at LRN.
Behavioural insights
Catalyst Phishing is designed to address shortcomings in existing phishing training solutions, which often only raise awareness but do not contribute to meaningful changes in staff behaviour. By delivering behaviour-triggered simulations and personalised microlearning, the platform aims to reduce risk at the employee level.
The tool provides CISOs and IT leaders with simulated phishing tactics that replicate real-world threats and allow deeper insights into employee risk, according to the company. Compliance teams can also benefit from the integration of phishing training within the wider ethics and compliance (E&C) schemes provided by the Catalyst platform.
The integration allows for unified management and reporting across security and compliance functions. Catalyst Phishing includes campaign-level reporting and user-level tracking, equipping organisations to monitor the effectiveness of training and pinpoint risks among various user groups through data-driven analysis.
Integration and data-driven management
One of the distinguishing features of Catalyst Phishing is its integration into the larger Catalyst platform, which facilitates alignment between phishing simulations and ongoing Code of Conduct, ethics, and compliance initiatives. With future updates, the solution will feature analytics dashboards to give CISOs and IT teams additional visibility regarding user behaviour trends, high-risk groups, and organisational performance over extended periods.
Matt Plass, Global Head of Markets at LRN, said, "Our deep heritage in behaviour-based learning differentiates Catalyst Phishing from generic tools on the market. This reinforces our commitment to innovation that empowers employees to make ethical decisions at the moment of risk and strengthens the security culture across the enterprise, proving effectiveness, influencing culture, and demonstrating principled performance at scale."
Continuous management
Phishing simulations are an increasingly important element of proactive compliance programmes, shifting organisations away from sporadic training toward continuous, behaviour-driven risk management. By embedding phishing simulations within the Catalyst platform, LRN states that organisations can achieve closer collaboration and alignment between security and compliance teams, based on real-time data about employee behaviour and risk exposure.
Catalyst Phishing is set to become available as a component of the Catalyst platform later in the year.
