Hornetsecurity launches tool to streamline MSP operations

Hornetsecurity has unveiled the 365 Multi-Tenant Manager for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to enhance efficiency in managing Microsoft 365 tenants.

The 365 Multi-Tenant Manager is designed to alleviate the time-consuming process of managing Microsoft 365 tenants, cutting down the management and onboarding time by up to 80% for each tenant. This development is set to increase productivity and profitability for MSPs, as it significantly reduces the complexities typically involved in handling multiple Microsoft portals and adhering to compliance regulations.

According to Hornetsecurity research, MSPs currently invest an average of 12 hours to onboard each new tenant, with an additional three hours per customer monthly for ongoing management. Daniel Hofmann, CEO of Hornetsecurity, highlighted the company's dedication to addressing these challenges faced by partners.

Mr Hofmann expressed that the solution would "speed up and standardize new tenant onboardings, freeing up MSPs time and resources for mission-critical tasks. Our calculations show the average MSP will save 80% of their time for management and onboarding of existing and new customers – the equivalent of an employee's full-time workload over a year; and the more customers an MSP has, the higher this saving will be."

The 365 Multi-Tenant Manager functions by integrating with Microsoft Partner Center to automatically incorporate all discovered tenants into Hornetsecurity's multi-tenant platform. This feature allows MSPs to bypass the arduous tasks associated with tenant onboarding and baseline settings. The product's interface includes user-friendly wizards to assist in these processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

The platform supports configurations and setups for various Microsoft services including Entra, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Teams, using pre-designed templates and settings. It also offers tools for creating custom settings, thereby allowing MSPs to automate PowerShell scripts tailored to meet specific client needs.

Furthermore, it provides comprehensive dashboards for monitoring and reporting, simplifying workflows by eliminating the necessity to switch between multiple Microsoft portals. Any instances of non-compliance are detected automatically, boosting confidence in maintaining adherence to predefined MSP settings.

Findings from Hornetsecurity's research indicate that the 365 Multi-Tenant Manager can save a medium-sized MSP approximately 2,002 hours annually, representing the workload of a full-time employee.
