Exabeam links Google Security Operations to AI risk

Exabeam has integrated its New-Scale Analytics product with Google Security Operations to give security teams more visibility into insider threats across human users and AI agents.

The integration lets Google Security Operations customers apply Exabeam's behavioural analytics directly to data already in the Google environment. This removes the need to move data into a separate analytics system, a step that often adds operational work for security teams.

Security teams are under pressure to monitor a growing mix of human and non-human identities as businesses adopt AI agents inside corporate systems. These software agents can access systems, run workflows and make decisions with increasing autonomy, expanding the range of internal risks for cybersecurity teams to track.

The joint set-up is designed to help analysts identify higher-risk activity sooner, cut false positives and prioritise investigations more accurately. Customers can use Exabeam's analytics within Google Security Operations to examine behaviour across users, identities and AI agents without maintaining a separate analytics environment.

AI oversight

The companies are targeting a gap in many existing security tools, which were largely built to monitor human behaviour rather than the activity patterns of non-human identities. As organisations deploy AI agents more widely, security vendors are increasingly repositioning insider risk tools to address software entities operating at machine speed.

The integration links Exabeam's behavioural analytics and workflow automation tools with Google Security Operations, which Google positions as a cloud-based platform for centralising and correlating security telemetry. By applying analytics within that environment, the companies aim to streamline investigation and response rather than require data to be exported into another toolset.

Exabeam said its own validation testing showed organisations using the approach accelerated threat detection, investigation and response workflows by up to 80%. It did not provide customer names or independent benchmarking in the announcement.

Marketplace route

The product is also being made available through Google Cloud Marketplace. This gives Google customers a standard procurement route and means eligible spending on the service can count towards existing Google Cloud spend commitments.

Exabeam describes New-Scale Analytics as a core part of its broader security operations platform, combining behavioural analytics, AI-driven operations, automated workflows and reporting tools. The company has built its business around user and entity behaviour analytics, an area of cybersecurity focused on spotting abnormal activity patterns that may indicate account misuse, insider threats or compromised identities.

The integration also reflects a broader cybersecurity trend towards tighter ties between specialist analytics vendors and large cloud providers. Customers increasingly want tools that work on shared infrastructure and within existing data estates, partly to reduce deployment costs and avoid adding more separate systems to already complex security stacks.
