Blackwired unveils ThirdWatch to combat direct cyber threats

Blackwired has announced the launch of its new cybersecurity platform, ThirdWatch, which aims to identify and mitigate direct threats to organisations and their third parties.

The platform, described as a subject-directed monitoring system, provides a 360-degree view of existential threats. It assesses cyber risks linked to vendors, partners, suppliers, networks, and digital assets. Using a non-invasive, zero-touch technology, ThirdWatch generates Direct Threat Intelligence and combines it with traditional vulnerability assessment data. This integration results in evidence-based scoring and specific solutions to address direct cyber threats.

The platform establishes a new category in cybersecurity termed Direct Threat Risk Management. It incorporates features of both Attack Surface Management (ASM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) tools. ThirdWatch is designed with distinct functionalities such as Direct Threat Intelligence, Direct Threat Mitigation, Network Vulnerability Assessment, Third-Party Risk Management, comprehensive 3D visualisation, and evidence-based scoring.
