Ezzeldin Hussein, Senior Director of Solutions Engineering at SentinelOne, concurs with the necessity of robust cloud security practices. Hussein stresses that "cloud security is not just about protection; it's about trust, resilience, and enabling innovation." He advocates for adopting a Zero Trust mindset, utilising AI-driven threat detection, and enforcing stringent identity and access management policies. Hussein views World Cloud Security Day as a pivotal moment to bolster collective efforts towards a resilient and secure digital world.

Adding to the discourse, Fabio Fratucello, Field CTO at CrowdStrike, presents data from the company's 2025 Global Threat Report, which indicates a significant rise in cloud intrusions, with a 26% increase over the past year. Fratucello cites valid account abuse as a key vector for these security incidents. He calls attention to the inadequacy of fragmented security tools, arguing for a unified security strategy that covers cloud infrastructure, workloads, and applications. "Organisations must focus on stopping the breach," Fratucello urges, suggesting that unified security solutions can close protection gaps and decrease complexity.
