Westcon-Comstor names Manish Israni CTO for India & SAARC
Westcon-Comstor has appointed Manish Israni as Chief Technology Officer for India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region.
In his new role, Israni will be responsible for strategic technology programmes, engineering, and IT service delivery for Westcon-Comstor across India and neighbouring SAARC countries. He is also charged with enhancing Westcon-Comstor and Broadcom's collective capabilities in several domains, including cloud platforms, managed services, cybersecurity, and enterprise digital solutions.
Regional focus
Westcon-Comstor is the inaugural Catalyst Partner within Broadcom's Enterprise Security Group (ESG) Catalyst Initiative for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Through this partnership, Westcon-Comstor leads go-to-market and customer engagement for the Symantec and Carbon Black portfolios, holding sole distribution rights for these solutions throughout the region. Company officials highlight that the relationship with Broadcom is expanding, supported by Westcon-Comstor's experience in cybersecurity, its broad partner network, and its reach within the technology distribution channel.

Israni brings more than three decades of leadership experience in the information technology industry, covering a range of sectors. His background includes technology infrastructure, hyperscale data centres, global IT enabled services (ITES), networking, and security services. He has developed expertise in building and operating large-scale IT systems and delivering solutions for diverse enterprise needs.
Professional record
Before joining Westcon-Comstor, Israni held the roles of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Yotta Infrastructure. While at Yotta, he oversaw the creation of a comprehensive business unit specialising in networking, security, cloud, and managed IT services. Earlier in his career, Israni also managed IT infrastructure for India's largest greenfield digital venture, serving an extensive user base of more than 500 million subscribers.
His industry recognition is attributed to leadership on several high-value programmes, including cloud migration, virtualisation, DevOps implementation, and strategic outsourcing. He has managed technology programmes valued at over USD $100 million during his career.
