Logicalis unveils Intelligent Security global services framework
Logicalis Australia has unveiled its new global security services framework: Intelligent Security. The model takes a proactive approach to its global security portfolio, ensuring extensive observation and safeguarding benefits for consumers across the globe.
Intelligent Security's creation has involved input from Logicalis's security experts worldwide, making it a holistic solution. The model revolves around tracking and analysing cyber threats whilst leveraging knowledge of the latest prevention techniques across its broad customer base.
The reveal of Intelligent Security comes in the wake of Logicalis's 10th annual CIO report, surveying 1,000 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) worldwide. The report showed that of the 83% of CIOs who had experienced cyber-attacks within the past year, only 43% felt satisfactorily prepared for another breach. Intelligent Security is aimed at addressing these pressures.
Toby Alcock, Chief Technology Officer at Logicalis, commented: "Many organisations focus on one area of the security fabric; we recognise, in today's cybersecurity landscape there, are no silos. Organisations must look across the entire footprint, from secure connectivity, securing the cloud, securing the hybrid worker, and weaving secure operations across the entire organisation".
Intelligent Security encapsulates various services, including advisory services to help determine their security requirements and identify appropriate solutions; securing worker communications and devices; a robust edge-to-edge zero trust security, fit for IoT, 5G, and edge computing; safeguarding cloud environments to protect data, applications, and IT resources; and providing best-practice proactive threat detection and incident response around the year and across all global security regions, incorporating AI and automation for identification and triage.
To complement the launch of Intelligent Security, Logicalis also announced considerable investments to boost its position as a market-leader. Expansions to the managed security (SOC) team based in Portugal is mooted, along with the creation of a Cyber Academy alongside Cisco to provide a steady stream of qualified cybersecurity graduates. An intern program has also been planned, partnering with local universities in Portugal to facilitate the development of cybersecurity skills serving the EMEA region and beyond.
Logicalis has established itself as an industry heavyweight by subsuming Microsoft-verified Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) Partner Status, launching Cisco Powered Intelligent Connectivity, founded on zero-trust security, and becoming one of only six partners globally working with Cisco to hone an XDR proposition and enhance its Cisco security competencies.
The Intelligent Security model will be supported by the Logicalis Digital Fabric Platform, offering CIOs a more profound level of insights and recommendations to bolster their complete digital ecosystem.
Alcock further noted the critical point at which the industry finds itself, with security threats escalating in both scale and sophistication. He revealed that Logicalis has witnessed a three-fold surge in demand for managed security services in the past year and believes the company's comprehensive approach, partnerships, and cyber talent investments will provide consumers with AI-ready managed security.
